Gregory “Greg” Schaecher is a partner in the Dallas office. Throughout his law career, Greg has served as bond counsel, underwriters’ counsel and disclosure counsel for local government financings and is experienced in tax-exempt and taxable securities transactions, including ad valorem financings, special assessment revenue financings, utility revenue financings and transportation financings. Greg has experience in auction rate, variable rate and commercial paper financings, senior/subordinate structures, interest rate swap agreements and public and private placements for various political subdivisions in Texas. Transactions range from less than a $1 million to over $5 billion.
Prior to joining McCall, Greg was a senior associate for three years with Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. in its Dallas, Texas public finance group. Before working with Fulbright & Jaworski, Greg was a senior associate for Kutak Rock L.L.P. for six years. While at Kutak Rock, Greg concentrated his practice on representing a financial guaranty insurance company in all aspects of public finance and structured finance transactions, including consumer loans, student loans, utilities, waste-to-energy facilities, sports stadiums, health care and transportation.
