Jana Edwards, a partner in the firm’s Austin office, serves as bond counsel, disclosure counsel and underwriters’ counsel in tax-exempt debt financings. She primarily serves as bond counsel and disclosure counsel to water districts in the Central Texas area, including municipal utility districts and water control and improvement districts. Jana is also involved in financings for cities, counties and other types of special districts, including road district financings, tax increment reinvestment zones and public improvement districts. She has experience with general obligation, revenue and assessment backed financings. Additionally, Jana has served as bond counsel on private activity bond transactions for public-private economic development projects. She also assists clients with conducting bond elections and advising on election law issues.
Prior to joining McCall in 2007, Jana practiced corporate and securities law for two years at Jenkins & Gilchrist in Dallas and then at Broad & Cassel in Florida.
