Rebecca Bronson, of counsel in the firm’s Austin office, has been practicing in the areas of public finance, infrastructure development and finance for over 30 years. Rebecca joined the firm in 2016, having practiced public finance in Austin and Denver, and international development and financing in Russia, South America, Europe and Africa. As a public finance attorney in private practice, she has had experience with tax exempt and taxable securities transactions representing state and local governments, tollway and airport authorities, hospital systems, universities, economic development corporations, river authorities and other public utilities.
Immediately prior to joining the firm, Rebecca was the lead attorney responsible for transportation financing transactions at the Texas Department of Transportation. The combination of infrastructure development and financing experience has led her to focus on complex, structured project finance as counsel, variously, to governmental issuers, sponsors and credit providers, and to private concessionaires, investors and lenders on a wide variety of financings and funding mechanisms from state and federal government project loans, international development bank financings, private equity investment, toll revenue system obligations, general obligation bonds and appropriated funds and off-balance sheet financings.
