Richard “Rick” C. Porter is a retired partner in the Dallas office. Over his career, Rick has been the lead attorney for the firm in connection with the restructuring of the debt programs of some of the largest public entities in Texas. Additionally, he has broad and successful experience in major bond validation suits.
Rick was responsible for drafting most of the financing laws utilized by the institutions of higher education in Texas and many financing laws adopted by other public entities in the State.
Prior to attending law school, Rick served in the U.S. Navy, receiving an honorable discharge with the rank of Lieutenant (jg).
